Bankers Trust

Tell us about your business and what you do.:
Bankers Trust is Iowa’s largest private bank and we have been present in the Ames Community since 2008. Headquartered in downtown DSM, we have branches throughout central Iowa, Cedar Rapids, and Phoenix, AZ. I work as a VP, Consumer Services Manager at the Ames Branch in North Ames- my retail team is the face of the bank when customers come for their daily banking needs. Between leading my team and networking in the community, I am proud to be part of the Bankers Trust team.

Why do you serve as an Ambassador?
It’s simple! I love where I live and work! I love the connections the Chamber enables us to make and I love watching business thrive in Ames.

How else are you involved in the community?
I currently chair the Human Relations Commission with the City of Ames and will Chair the 2021 Ames Go Red for Women Event with the American Heart Association. I also serve on the board of directors for ACPC childcare center, work with my daughter’s girl scout troop, and serve on the Bank’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. In addition, I am excited to work with the Planning Committee for the 2020 Symposium on Building Inclusive Organizations. When I am not working or serving, you can usually find me at our kid’s sporting events, running, reading, or traveling with my wonderful family and Cavapoo, King.

What would you tell someone considering becoming a Chamber Ambassador or Member?
The Chamber is a GREAT place for new and existing residents to meet people, build relationships, and help our community thrive.

Anything else you'd like to share?
I am passionate about serving my community and believe in advocating for the people we live, work, and play with. Being a part of the chamber is a great opportunity to connect with community members and work with a great group of people!
