Deepen your understanding of core values like philanthropy, inclusion, leadership, opportunity and teamwork, gain hands-on experience, and explore a variety of career opportunities over the course of five all-day events throughout the school year with students from across the county.
All events are free, but registration is required. In addition, all participants must submit a guardian release form prior to the first event they plan to attend. Registered attendance will be considered excused absences from school and registered participants who do not attend will be reported to their school. Registration will close 1 business day before the event. Lunch and snacks will be provided at each event.
The program will also offer an opt-in service project. The projects will run from September 20 to April 3 when groups will present their work to the group. Projects are open-ended but do require 10+ hours of volunteer time. Each project group will be assigned a mentor who will help you connect with others in the community and serve as an advisor. Projects may be completed by individuals or groups no larger than 5 people. Brief project proposals are due Friday, September 27.
